Amazon Review Requests Ads (2026): How the Paid Review Prompt Works

Last updated October 2026

Your new listing has eight reviews and you've clicked Request a Review on every order. Amazon is about to sell an ad that asks your recent buyers for a rating.

Review Requests is an Amazon Ads campaign that shows your recent buyers a prompt to rate or review your product. It's US only, for products with fewer than 1,000 total ratings and reviews, and you run it in Amazon Ads Agent with a bid and a budget.

What is Amazon Review Requests?

"This new advertising solution reaches customers who recently purchased your product and invites them to submit a star rating or written review while they are shopping on Amazon. You create and manage campaigns in Amazon Ads Agent using the same bidding and budget controls you use for your other Amazon Ads campaigns."

"Customer submits a rating in one-click" ... "And provide optional written review with video or images" ... "Same authentic reviews customers already leave. Just more, faster."

"inviting verified buyers to leave a review from Amazon's busiest pages, like the homepage, with a single tap."

Amazon Ads news post, Introducing Branded Conversations and Review Requests, September 29, 2026

The launch page and the news post cover who can run it and where. They don't say how you're billed (per impression, click or rating), how many days "recently" means, whether the review is labeled as coming from an ad, or what happens when you also click Request a Review on the same order.

Who can use Review Requests?

"Registered sellers and vendors with an advertising console account in good standing and no active policy violations. Products are eligible when they have fewer than 1,000 total ratings and reviews. Eligibility is checked when you create your campaign and while your campaign runs. Review Requests for a product pause automatically once it reaches the ratings threshold of 1,000 reviews."

"North America: United States" ... "Additional marketplaces and Amazon properties are planned for future releases." ... "Amazon Ads Agent" ... "Amazon Ads Unified API"

When does Review Requests open?

The launch page says "open beta in the United States in late October 2026". The news post says "Review Requests will launch in November 2026." From late October, check whether Ads Agent offers the campaign type in your account.

Should you use Review Requests, the button or Vine?

The eight-review listing above qualifies for all three. The Request a Review button is free, once per order, 5 to 30 days after delivery, and it's an email Amazon writes and sends. Vine closes once the listing passes 30 reviews and costs $0, $75 or $200 per parent product plus the units you give away. Between 30 and 1,000, Review Requests is the only paid option of the three.

Keep clicking the button either way: it costs nothing. How the free ways to ask share one request per order is in how to get more Amazon reviews.

Is Review Requests worth testing?

"Early test results show that products received three times as many ratings and reviews per week compared to before the test."

Footnote: "Internal Amazon data, Closed Beta, US, June 3-21, 2026."

That's 19 days, each product compared with its own earlier weeks, with no sample size given. If the listing gets two ratings a week now, tripling means four extra, and the week's ad spend sits on those four.

Hear from buyers who never open the review page

An ad reaches buyers who are already on Amazon. Aftermesh gives you a care link: a page under your own brand, with a QR code to print on your insert card. A buyer who scans tells you, in their own language, how the order went, and you read it in your dashboard; at the end, the page invites them to leave a review on Amazon. It doesn't connect to your seller account.
