Amazon insert card examples

Last updated September 2026

You're about to print an insert card. Here's wording you can adapt: pick the card that fits what you need, swap the bracketed parts for your own, and print.

Every card below follows two rules: nothing offered for a review, and the same words for every buyer.

Four cards without a QR code

These are written for the US marketplace. For any other marketplace, translate them into the buyer's language before you print.

1. Thank-you and warranty card

Thank you for choosing [Brand].
Your [product] is covered by our [12-month] warranty.
[One line of care or storage advice.]

No mention of reviews. If you want to write the card once and never revisit it, use this one.

2. How-to-use card that heads off returns

Quick start
1. [Step]
2. [Step]
3. [Step]
Most problems happen at step 2. If [expected result] doesn't happen, don't return it yet — message us from Your Orders and we'll walk you through it.

A buyer who can't get it working gets one more option before returning it: contact you.

3. Support contact card

Not right? Let us fix it.
Wrong item, missing part, damaged in transit — message us from Your Orders → Get help with order. Replacement or refund, your choice, no questions asked.

It offers help and says nothing about reviews. Don't add "before you leave a review" to it.

4. Neutral review request

Reviews are how other buyers decide.
If you have a minute, share your honest experience on Amazon — whatever it was.

Honest and whatever it was keep it neutral; keep both.

"You can ask your customers to leave reviews on your products"

— Customer Product Reviews policy document (p9)

Cards with a QR code

The QR code points to your own warranty or feedback page.

5. Warranty registration QR

Activate your [12-month] warranty
Scan to register. Takes 30 seconds, nothing to buy.
[QR code]

The page it opens does registration only: no buy button, coupon, discount, other products or review link.

6. Problem report QR

Something wrong?
Scan and tell us what happened — we read every one and reply within 24 hours.
[QR code]

The page it opens is the same for every buyer. It doesn't send happy buyers to a review link and unhappy ones to a support form.

Aftermesh builds the page that QR code opens. It carries your own brand, a buyer can report what went wrong with his order, and his reply shows up in your dashboard. There's no Amazon account to connect.

Six cards by category, filled in

One card per common category. Swap the bracketed parts and they're ready to print.

Electronics — product registration

PRODUCT REGISTRATION
Activate your [12-month] warranty and get product support — it takes 30 seconds.
1. Open the camera app on your phone
2. Scan the QR code
3. Enter your Order ID to register
4. Warranty activated — you're all set
Register your product

No review anywhere on the card, and the QR lands on your own registration page, not a storefront.

Home & furniture — care guide

YOUR CARE GUIDE
Assembly help, maintenance tips, and care instructions for your [product].
1. Open your phone camera
2. Point it at the QR code
3. Get your assembly and care guide
4. Tell us how it went — good or bad
Get your care guide

Step 4 asks for feedback to you, good or bad, with no condition attached.

Fashion — style & care

STYLE & CARE
Wash instructions and styling ideas in one place.
1. Open your phone camera
2. Scan the QR code
3. Get washing instructions and outfit ideas
4. Wrong size? Message us from Your Orders → Get help with order
Unlock your style guide

Size exchanges go through the Amazon order page and don't depend on a review.

Beauty & personal care — usage guide

YOUR BEAUTY GUIDE
Usage tips, full ingredient list, and a routine for your skin type.
1. Open your phone camera
2. Scan the QR code
3. Get usage tips for your skin type
4. Tell us how it went — good or bad
Get your beauty tips

Don't change step 4 to "Love it? Share your story!" That only invites buyers who liked it.

Pet supplies — safety check

PET SAFETY CHECK
Safety information, feeding guidelines, and sizing for your [pet type].
1. Open the camera app on your phone
2. Scan the QR code for safety information
3. Access feeding guides and usage tips
4. Something not right? Message us and we'll fix it
Check product safety

Step 4 offers help with no "before leaving a review" condition.

Anything else — neutral feedback

WE'D LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK
Your honest opinion helps us improve and helps other buyers decide.
1. Open the camera app on your phone
2. Scan the QR code
3. Share your honest experience — whatever it was
4. Thank you
Share your experience

Honest and whatever it was do the same job as in template 4; keep both.

Don't write this; write this instead

Don't: "Leave a 5-star review and get a $10 gift card."

Instead: "Share your honest experience on Amazon."

Nothing in exchange for a review: no gift cards, discounts, free products or refunds.

Don't: "Love it? Leave a review! Problem? Email us first."

Instead: "Tell us how it went — good or bad."

Ask every buyer the same way, not just the happy ones.

Don't: "Please contact us before leaving a review so we can make it right."

Instead: "Not right? Message us and we'll fix it."

Keep the offer of help and delete before leaving a review. Don't put a condition on the review.

Don't: "If we solved it, please update your review."

Instead: say thank you and stop.

Don't ask a buyer to change or remove a review, even after you've fixed the problem.

Don't: "Scan for 20% off your next order at brand.com."

Instead: delete the line.

Leave discount codes, buy-direct offers and off-Amazon store links off the card.

Don't: ask for a review on the card and again in an automated buyer-seller message.

Instead: pick one and turn the other off.

The Communication Guidelines allow one review request per order in buyer-seller messages; Amazon hasn't said whether a card counts as one. The cautious choice is the card or the message, not both.

FAQ

Does Amazon have official insert card templates?

No. Amazon hasn't published an insert card template or an approval process. The templates on this page avoid the practices the review policy names; still check them against the help pages before you print, and swap the bracketed parts for your own.

Can an insert card ask the buyer to leave a review?

Yes. Say the same neutral line to every buyer, offer nothing in return, and leave out words like "5-star" or "positive". The Communication Guidelines allow one review request per order in buyer-seller messages; Amazon hasn't said whether a card counts as one. The cautious choice is the card or the message, not both.

What language should the card be printed in?

The language of the marketplace the buyer ordered from. An English card in a German-marketplace package may leave the buyer unable to read the instructions or find where to get help.

My agency or factory designs the card. What should I check?

Read the final artwork yourself and check every line against the "don't write this" list below. The card reaches the buyer under your store's name.
